AN INFORMATION and education kit will be developed by the council for landowners and tenants living in koala habitat areas.
Councillor George Seymour said the kit would help landowners and tenants live with koalas through planting preferred food trees and protecting against attacks from domestic pets.
He said the kit was one of the recommendations of the Koala Consultative Committee formed by the council to identify koala habitat and protect koalas.
Cr Seymour said the committee aimed to have the information kit developed and printed within six months and the information would also be available on the council's website.
The committee meets again on March 13.
